We stayed in the Oceans Suites side, which is family friendly, though in October/November when we visited, there were hardly any children. What a great resort! The Renaissance comprises two buildings. My husband and I stayed here for 10 days. Most of the treadmills don't full work, and the A/C wasn't fully functional in the gym during our stay. Additionally, the gym needs some updates. The hotel needs to figure out how to provide more towels. People waited more than an hour for towels. The staff thought guests were just taking more than one towel per guest, but I didn't see that. One note for the hotel is that the beach runs out of towels every day. Having the mall on location was convenient. We enjoyed the location especially for its proximity to shopping. We didn't have to wait on drinks or food often. The staff in the hotel and on the beach tended quickly to our every need. The wildlife and nature on the island made our stay amazing. That may not be for everyone, and if you want a walk-out beach, this isn't the hotel for you. We loved taking the boat to the island every day. We booked this hotel for unlimited access to the private island, and that exceeded our expectations. The downside of our room was no balcony, but we didn't stay in the room very much. We really enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance in Aruba! We stayed on the adults-only Marina side with a view of the Marina.
